Exam Dates and Fees for Subspecialties

2017 Subspecialty Initial Certification Examinations and Fee Schedules

Registration and exam dates are updated as information becomes available. The deadline to register for ALL exams is 3 pm EST/EDT by the registration dates noted below.
 

The following exam fees are valid for 2017 examinations:
Regular Registration: $2,900
Late Registration: $3,245 (includes an additional $345 late fee)

Spring Examinations: If you wish to withdraw your application and receive the refundable exam fee, the ABP must receive a signed notification by March 2, 2017. The processing and late fees, if applicable, will be retained by the ABP. Fees are not transferable.

2017 Summer Examination

Fall Examinations: If you wish to withdraw your application and receive the refundable exam fee, the ABP must receive a signed notification by September 15, 2017. The processing and late fees, if applicable, will be retained by the ABP. Fees are not transferable.

IMPORTANT: Computer technical difficulties, operator error or difficulties arising from username or password problems (eg, forgotten password or inability to log into the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) application system due to an inconsistency with the spelling of names) must be resolved and the application completed and submitted before the 3 pm Eastern Standard or Eastern Daylight Time deadline. Please be aware that it can take up to 48 hours (excluding weekends) to resolve certain technical difficulties. The ABP makes every effort to assist with these issues promptly; however, applicants are responsible for verifying their ability to apply well before the deadline. No exceptions will be allowed for applicants who miss the application deadline.

Test Accommodations

Applicants who require test accommodations must notify the ABP by submitting a completed New Request Form or Repeat Request Form.
