Background:
2018 MOCA-Peds pilot questions will be based on 40 learning objectives drawn from the General Pediatrics Content Outline that reflect the breadth of knowledge required for practice. During the year, participating diplomates will receive two questions associated with each learning objective (not necessarily in the same quarter). While each diplomate will receive 40 learning objectives, diplomates will receive slightly different learning objectives depending on the practice profile setting they select the first time they login to the MOCA-Peds platform (general pediatrics with an inpatient focus, general pediatrics with an outpatient focus, or general pediatrics). These learning objectives will be uploaded to participants’ personal MOCA-Peds portfolio at the beginning of the pilot year.
Featured Guidelines:
Each year, select guidelines/articles will be featured that all diplomates engaging in MOCA-Peds should read. The featured guideline is listed with its respective, starred (**) learning objective. Two questions for each guideline will appear within MOCA-Peds so diplomates should familiarize themselves with the guidelines prior to starting questions. These questions will be clinical vignettes, similar in style and format to other questions in MOCA-Peds.
