Info on 2016 Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine, Pediatric Nephrology & Adolescent Medicine Certifying Exams

The American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) will administer the Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Certifying Examination on Tuesday, April 5, 2016, at Prometric testing centers. 


The American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) will administer the Pediatric Nephrology Certifying Examination on Monday, April 4, 2016, at Prometric testing centers.


The American Board of Pediatrics (ABP), in collaboration with the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) and the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM), will administer the 2016 Adolescent Medicine Certifying Examination on Thursday, April 14, 2016, at Prometric testing centers.  Physicians should apply through their primary certification board.  Registration dates and fees may differ for each Board.


  • Applicants may apply online at  from August 4, 2015, through October 1, 2015, 3:00 pm Eastern Daylight Saving Time. A late registration period will be open from October 2, 2015, through November 2, 2015, 3:00 pm Eastern Standard Time. The regular registration fee of $2,900 must be paid with an American Express, VISA or MasterCard credit/debit card.  Late registrants will incur a $345 non-refundable penalty, for a total registration fee of $3,245. If you are using a debit card, please make certain the transaction limit established by your bank is sufficient to cover the fee. 
  • It is the responsibility of the applicant to read the eligibility and application requirements on the ABP website, and to meet all ABP deadlines.  NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE ALLOWED FOR APPLICANTS WHO MISS THE APPLICATION DEADLINE.    
  • Please be aware that it can take up to 48 hours (excluding weekends) to resolve certain technical difficulties.  The ABP makes every effort to assist with these issues promptly; however, applicants are held responsible to check their ability to apply well before the deadline.
