For many years, Dr. Susan Grace Wolff volunteered her time and expertise to the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). She served as a Subboard Representative on the Board of Directors, was chair of the Cardiogology Subboard, and was a consultant to the Cardiology Subboard.

Dr. Wolff passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her family, on Saturday, July 16, 2015.

A native of Rome, NY, Dr. Wolff received her bachelor’s degree from Le Moyne College in Syracuse, NY, and her MD from Marquette University Medical School (now Medical College of Wisconsin). Dr. Wolff went on to complete a fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology at Harvard University’s Boston Children’s Hospital. After spending several years on the faculty at the Albany (NY) Medical Center, Dr. Wolff headed south to join the Pediatric Cardiology Division at the University of Miami Medical School.

Dr. Wolff was recognized as an innovator in both diagnostic procedures, as well as new treatments of abnormal rhythms using catheters inside the heart. She was well-known in the pediatric community, not only for her contributions to the ABP, but as a mentor to many pediatric cardiologists now practicing in the US and abroad.
