ABP Updates Privacy Policy

Monday, April 3, 2017 - 10:00

The American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) has updated its privacy policy to provide information about changes to our processes.  These include:

  • MOCA-Peds, our 2017-2018 pilot of an alternative MOC Part 3 assessment, collects de-identified log errors encountered by diplomates using the MOCA-Peds mobile app.
  • The ABP also is using a third-party vendor to host any surveys it conducts.

Additionally, the updated policy permits the sharing of individual-level, de-identified data, including test scores, for approved research projects. This change was included in the privacy policy even though data sharing will not begin before 2018, at the earliest.

For more information, contact the ABP Operations Department at privacy[at] or (919) 929-0461.
