ABP Appoints New Director of Test Development

The American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) is delighted to announce Erik Meyer as the next Director of Test Development. Meyer succeeds Elaine Brown, who is slated to retire in December 2012 following 32 years at the ABP. Leading an experienced team of editors and technicians, Meyer will oversee the test development processes for all certifying examinations, Maintenance of Certification (MOC) examinations, and self-assessment activities. In addition, Meyer will be responsible for management of Continuing Medical Education (CME) units for all committee members who help develop content.

Meyer previously led Content Development for Global Programs at Pearson VUE in Bloomington, Minnesota. He was responsible for several international admissions tests and certifying examinations in Australia, India, and the United Kingdom.
