Are fee discounts available for maintaining multiple certifications?

No. The fee structure for MOC includes one examination in ten years. If you take a subspecialty initial certification examination or wish to take more than one MOC examination, an additional examination fee is charged.

I have multiple certifications. What requirements do I need to meet to maintain all of them?

No matter how many ABP certificates you hold, you have only one MOC cycle. Any activities you complete are applied to all areas in which you hold certification. For your specific requirements, log on to My ABP Portfolio.

Do I need to maintain my general pediatrics certification in order to maintain my subspecialty certification?

No. The ABP allows you to maintain subspecialty certification without simultaneously maintaining certification in general pediatrics. However, if you wish to maintain certification in pediatric transplant hepatology, then you will be required to be maintain certification in pediatric gastroenterology.
